December 12, 1912

Thurs 12 Cold & clear Cold SW wind   dry roads good   I arose a little Early & hurried around   we are all Dave Harvey Roys Nellies Mother & I invited to Henry Fosters to spend the day   Nellies did not go   Mother & I went with our mare & buggy   the boys went with Roys we had a delightful visit at Fosters fine country home   An Excellent dinner   Mother & I got home little aftr sundown   left the rest at Fosters   I was late doing chores Wasson piled furnace wood in the cellar   worked 8 hours & got along well he fed the pigs & cows at noon   Emma & Vic took diner at the Hotel

Wednesday December 25th  Christmas & a nice mostly clear day  we all went by invitation to Bells to a fine Extra Christmas turkey dinner  Rach Hull  Mary Alfred  Amos & Effie 5 Mother & I  7  Vic Leslie 9 Maude Otto & Carrol [Klockenteger] 12  Holden Dave & Add 15 & an Extra fine table was set & Bells house was neat as a house could be  She had a tree for the kids  I gave Arden & Lillian [children of LeRoy & Cora Carr] Each $1 & took my overcoat pockets full of candy

July 14, 1907

Sunday July 14.  Was raining when I woke up this morning but has almost cleared off now.  Went to Sunday school.  Vic sung a solo at church this morning.  Bought 20c worth of meat for dinner this morning. 

 [July 14 – Isaac]  Arose late feeling good  Slept well  ariv at Livingston at 7 AM & got Coffe bread & butter in depot 15c each  bot tickets thru park with Wiley Co [company] pd $80,00  took Cars for Gardner [Gardiner, Montana] pd 3,10 Each  ariv Gardner at 10,10 AM & sent 5 cards home  took dinner at Co [Wiley company?]  hotel  piled into Stages & Commenced trip thru park  viewed by hot springs & camped at Willow Springs  took a walk  saw bear & Elk and snow 2 ft deep  had Kodak Picture taken by NY man  Picked some flowers  we had 2 short sermons in camp  went to bed

February 11, 1907

Monday February 11th a fine temperate day  I split Some wood  Commenced to Split up my Spring wood & I have a good big pile & must do most of it my Self as Vic is busy Early & late in the bank & Leslie with his Studdies &c has very little Spare time but by taking my time I feel able for it tho not as Strong as one year ago  I sent draft to Success Co NY for $3 for Success Magazine the Independent & Womans Home Companion  I drew $5 from the bank  Virg Bradford Called & I made out Statemt for him to Send to the Commissioner of Pensions to get blanks to draw additional pension under the McCumber bill
