Thursday November 28th 1918 at Harriets in Olathe Kas Thanksgiving in Kansas & this morn found the ground white with 3 in of damp snow I sent card to Sylvia in Grand Junction Mother & Harriet are cooking a fine chicken & baking bread Willard bot a snow shovel to get the snow off we are all well & surely have much to be thankful for & little to complain of after a most excellent dinner we took a ride around town it was too snowy & muddy to get off the paved streets it thawed but little we past a pleasant eve mother & Harriet wrote to Isabel
