Wednesday September 25th 1918 Warm & cloudy all da & looks like rain lt E wind I got sweet corn for dinner Florilla Longwell called & got 1 lb butter some buttermilk we gave her sweet corn & I helpd her home with the things I finishd grubbing my second plum tree & Frank Arthur came & fixt our lower water closet I pd him 60c I got mail at noon only Hawkeye [newspaper] I went to PO after dinner & got more papers got 2 tablets at Wards pd 25c
