Friday May 31st 1918 Showers Sunshine & drying PM S wind I planted my last piece of sweet corn for the year with corn soakd 26 hours Mother & Isabel pict the first mess of Strawberries for dinner & they were fine I hoed around in places most too wet to hoe I got the mail at noon had 2 Showers PM a short hard one this eve I got my coal box from Zimmerman & put it in my Barn Tom Carr is taking down the Barn at Zimmermans Mother & I planted Navy beans in the Barn garden we wrote to Leslie So did Isabel I now have all my planting done for this season unles I sow a few turnips Delos Liebe came & got some fine tomato plants
