Tues in Clermont Oct 19 1915 foggy gloomy damp in morn we arose a little early & ate a good breakfast of pancakes & went to see the river tis falling & the coffer dam all water pumped out & men at work L & L went with us to depot Leslie took Mother & satchel in his car Lavanda & I walkd I got 2 tickets for Wellman pd 5,96 & fog cleard & Sunny near 10 AM roads dryer at Olwein [Iowa] we left Independence at near 12 noon arrived in CR 1-30 I went up town & got 20c candy for Marjorie got right on Ioa City train & ate our lunch arrived in Ioa City 2,45
