Sun Oct 17 in Clermont warmer dark & cloudy rainy & Rained hard last nite Leslie made 4 calls this AM Mother Lavanda & I went to church but preacher failed to come & we came home & at 1 PM Mr C Miller & wife came by invitation & we all had dinner & a fine one & a good visit this PM with Millers extra good friends of Leslies he made several short calls & he & I went to the bridge to see the high water & he had a call & went 8 mi in the country confinmt [confinement?] case a Miss Lena Gerber called
