Fri Dec 27 A nice day & Roads mostly good Leslie goes to Fred Klockenteger Evry forenoon at 9 oclock & learns german conversation I am very much interested in having him learn to Speak the language PM Leslie & I took the team & old buggy & drove to the farm & Saw our new cow I bought of Hicks I like her looks better to day we gave her Salt plenty of Straw & Stalks & water in the pond she will do well til the weather gets bad
