August 17, 1907

Saturday August 17, 1907  home again & right glad & thankful to be at home  we arose at Schwimleys in Ioa City late & after a good breakfast & family prayer Mr S took us to depot & bade us good bye & we Started at 8-30 AM for Wellman & arrived in due time  both our boys Vic & Leslie & Nellie met us at the train & Ralph with the buggy  Mother rode up with him  I walked  I can hardly Express how glad I am to be at home in Wellman once more  I am very very thankful to him who watches over all for this Safe & Joyful home coming & Safe Ending of our long & tiresome journey  we find Evrything all right Except our red Cow is Sick & am thankful tis no worse  I went around town some & Called at Maudes  She has been Sick but is better  Bell had an Excellent dinner for us fried chicken &c & we done ample justice to her cooking
