Saturday July 13. A nice day. Got up early and done the chores and then went to the store. We were pretty busy all day but had more to do after the band concert than any other time. I played with the band. Got a card from Father & Mother this morning. Bought meat .15, salmon .10 and lemons .20 to day.
[July 13 – Isaac] Arose at 4.15 in Fargo train 2 hours late took breakfast & pd bill $2 & left in bus at 7-30 train late & got later all day passed nearly thru the bad lands & found houses evry little ways where 15 yrs ago were none & the town of medora [probably Medora, North Dakota] in the middle of bad lands & we got a birth in tourist sleeper $2,50 very good we took Supper on dining Car $1,00 Each real good & we went Early to bed
