July 12, 1907

Friday July 12.  A fine morning. But seems kind a lonesome around here.  Pulled weeds in truck patch this morning.  Then came down to the stock yard and bought four pigs of Wm. Wade, they weighed 570 lbs and cost me $6,00 a hundred making $34.20.  I gave him a check on Father.  I also drew $5.00 out of bank by a check to bye things to eat with.  Bought oatmeal .25 and meat .15 to day.  I am going to write a card to the folks now.

 [July 12 – Isaac]  At Sunrise were near North wood near Minnesota line  Soon to Albert lea & to St Paul where we got 25c coffee & ate lunch & gave away a good lot that was left  left St Paul at 10-30 AM & passed thru a very poor level wet farming Country west of St Paul  I don’t feel good  no sleep last night & riding on the train don’t agree with me  we & Flemings stoped at Fargo ND & put up at the Elliot hotel to get a good nights rest  took Supper  Sent postals to Lyman B [Lyman Bradford] Bell Carr H [Hull] to Vic & Nellie & went to bed
