Tuesday April 2nd 1907 A nice spring like day I went up to the pasture & finished plowing my potato ground I found Durlens sheep in my pasture & Called to him & he Sent a boy to get them out I need that grass myself after dinner I hitched to the new buggy & Mother Nellie & I went to John Ash’s funeral preached in the M E Church by Rev Clapp & burial in Wellman Cemetery Wm Stapleton Atty [attorney] of Muscatine took dinner with us
