Monday July 25 warm & dry Calm a very light shower Early this morning with thunder in the NW & north I & Mag went to Wellman took rags &c to Fry to make 39 yds carpet for new house we took Holden some blk berries & took dinner there I drew $15 out of Bank & gave Mag 3 I scraped dirt away from Cistern Hofer & A Glider are digging & find it quite soft at 8, 9 & 10 ft with signs of quick sand I made a hole thru the cellar wall for cistern pipe to go through Maude is better Harve helped Roy in the hay this makes 8 ½ days
