Thursday May 12th 1898 A very Extra nice calm warm growing day I feel much better & Eat 3 times Holden painted a few pickets on the reservoir fence & made me a hatchet handle & I paid him one dollar Harve hauled straw off an old stack bottom over East & plowed the ground & PM he disked on the fall plowing over East & I took Holden home & drove Prince & Mollie with my new harness & they look gay & I believe are a good bargain Roy & hand here for dinner & Roy helped me fit my harness & he trimmed Prince & Mollie’s fore tops
