Tuesday December 28th 1897 A moderate cloudy winter day Harve got a load of wood from the Hughbanks timber Harriet & Willard went to Keota & will go to Ollive Scrantons wedding tomorrow in Washington to Ed McCauley & then home we have had a good visit with Harriet we covered 2 corn pens with Straw & got a load to put in the Barn a young Mapel called wanting to borrow money I had none to lend
