Monday September 13th 1897 A nice & real warm day dry & dusty I went Early to Keota & met Ellen & Fred Brewer we got home a little after noon & such a noise & talking & greeting & laughing I havnt heard in a long time we passed a very pleasant afternoon & about 4 PM Warren Stewart came & we weighed my 12 fat Steers & he wants them in Keota in the morning he gave me a check for $736,00 the 12 Steers weighed without shrink 17070 & I shrank them 3 ½%
