Tuesday Nov 17 Arose late at Scrantons & took the 10 am train Cloudy warm foggy & misty looks & feels much like rain Joe went with us to the train & we saw Uncle Than [Nathaniel] Squires we took dinner at 11 am 50c cash got to Alerton [Iowa] at 3-15 Then hired a carriage for Brewers cost $2,00 arrived at J W Brewers at 6 PM found them at supper all well & very glad to see us & I am sure we were glad to see them
