Wednesday May 23rd 1894 Cool & partly cloudy I took Sylvia & the children to School & went to the other place to see the steers found them all right I went to Vic Carris & on to Nira & got the mail home by noon the boys hauled some dirt in the morning & before noon Commenced to plow the corn over East & they both plowed all the pm PM I helped Mag wash the buggy & mowed the yard & then put in the bal of the pm looking for Rose cow found her towards night & brought her in with a very nice bull calf I heard to day that Mr Gregory of Keota is dead he has failed for some time he was a nice pleasant man & will be much missed
