Sat Jan 21 A middling moderate day Dave & Evaline Mag & I went to Steve Leightons visiting & we went over to Wellman after dinner Steve with us drove Sele & Sam horse buyers were plenty & I could have sold them for about 300,00 I got jug of Sorgum 58C Home at dusk & I helped some with the chores Roy has worked 292 ½ days & drew 155,35 Harve has worked 203 [days] & drew 56,00 thawed a little & sledding is good fed the steers a load of shock Corn & cleaned out stables
