August 27, 1892

Saturday August 27  A nice day.  We Washed.  The Boys hauled manure.  Roy thrashed the Beans.  Had a peck.  I canned corn.  Mrs. Lewis called and said we could get the Plow at Uncle Ezra.  I got a letter from Ellen.[1]  The Beef man called.

[1] Unknown if this is Margaret’s sister, Mary Eleanor Taylor Brewer or Margaret’s daughter Harriet Eleanor Carr
