Thursday May 7 dry warm & pleasant Tuesday last I branded 46 yearlings & turned 38 out on pasture & PM weighed 39 2 yr old steers they averaged 744# & I took 25 head of the best ones & turned them on 30 acres of good pasture at the other place Wednesday I did what is written for Tuesday & to day I did what is written for Wednesday So I commenced planting Corn Wednesday PM May 6
