Friday Jan 9 I feel much better I fixed the cistern pump it was froz up I also fixed the wood screws in the bob sleds they were too loose I worked most all the AM & PM I set in the house & read till chore time Harve got a good load of straw over west on the sled & beded calves hogs & everything good & after supper he took team & sleigh & went to V Carris’s & brought Sylva from Keota School Ez & Amanda came long after dark & Mag went with them to Wellman to installation of officers of WRC [Women’s Relief Corps] Maude has been Sick all day with cold & sore throat it Snowed a little all the PM & warmer
