Monday Apr 11 1887   Warm & cloudy   A fine warm day   Roy & I finished sowing oats a little after dinner & sowed grass seed on the piece NE of orchard   Harve harrowed   Henry Moffit came with a Stallion & wants to make a stand here   Said Mr Cuningham at Green valley Mills will pay the bill   I let him stay but didn’t want to   I bred Luce colt to the horse $10,00 to insure a colt to stand & suck & I charge 25 cts a meal for horse & man & no charge for barn or lodging
