Easter Sunday April 10 1887 a very fine warm day cloudy sprinkled very little rain Vic Carris & wife & Joe England’s family hired hand & dog & J C Jones & wife here for Easter dinner we had a good dinner & a good visit & smoked a cigar the first I have smoked since last fall 2 little heifers had calves last of the week I have 10 little calves 47 pigs 1 colt looks like rain & we need it
