Thursday, September 25th 1884 A pleasant dry day we hauled manure over west Shaffer bros [brothers?] of Wellman called & I sold them 19 steers at 4 ½ cts per lb to be delivered in Nira at their option from the 1st to 15th of Oct off feed & water 12 hours & drive to Nira they paid me $50,00 Roy & I got small load of corn for hogs our corn is real good weighed our 41 fatting hogs this morning, averaged 248 lbs Joe England sent & borrowed my sulky plow
